Powell Valve Closure Systems - Do They Work?

Occasionally we are asked by potential customers if we can document actual instances when Powell Emergency Valve Closure Systems have prevented a release of hazardous chemicals.

“No News is Good News”.

While we do hear now and then about an accidental spill that has been prevented or minimized by one of our systems, the majority of the feedback we get deals more with their high level of satisfaction with our systems rather than with actual types or amounts of chemicals that were prevented from being released to the environment.

One really has to consider this question from the opposite direction:

Have our customers reported incidences where they didn't work in an emergency? The answer to that question is much more direct -no!

Powell Systems Are the Most Durable, Reliable Systems Available

Before any Powell system went to market, it was first subjected to extensive and exhaustive durability testing and field testing. Great care has been taken to design electric and pneumatic shutoff systems that are convenient to use, dependable, powerful, versatile, and most importantly, reliable.
