Frequently Asked Questions About the UniPro™ Valve Closure Systems
Question:
My plant compressed air supply only achieves 70 psig. Is this enough to operate the UniPro™ System?
Answer:
No. The UniPro™ actuators require 90 psig to operate correctly. You can install a nitrogen system using replaceable nitrogen bottles. Or, if your 70 psig plant air is already sufficiently dry, you can use an air pressure amplifier to raise the pressure in the UniPro™ Air Receiver. Alternatively, you can install any compressor that will achieve a minimum of 100 psig and a drier to reduce the dew point appropriately. The size of the compressor is not of major importance, since the UniPro™ Air Receiver will store enough air to operate the UniPro™ system by itself in an emergency.
