Frequently Asked Questions About the UniPro Valve Closure Systems

Question:

Why does the UniPro™ R actuator require two air hoses?

Answer:

Because one is a dedicated air line that is pressurized all of the time. This air line provides constant pressure so the operator can use the UniPro™ to manipulate the valve position at any time. The second air line is pressurized only in an emergency. It is important that these two air lines have the same operating pressure. Therefore, we recommend that the dedicated air line be installed in the UniPro™ Air Control Unit at the point where the UniPro™ Air Receiver is attached.
